Try to eliminate pieces of your opponent by strategically placing
your own tiles and moving pieces.
Starting position
At the start of the game the 2 tiles marked ‘TO’
and ‘OT’ are placed one above the other on the table
(or any other flat surface). Each player chooses a color and
can only play with tiles and pieces of own color. A piece can
only stand on a tile with corresponding color
Gameplay
Blue starts. As long that there are tiles left, each player’s
turn consists of 3 possible moves:
Move 1: place tile --> put piece on top of it (cfr.
picture step1; red's turn) Move 2: place tile --> move existing piece to adjacent
tile of own color (cfr. picture step2; blue's turn) Move 3: place tile --> move existing piece to tile
of own color by jumping solely over tiles of other color. If
during this move one jumps over a piece (or more) of the opponent,
these pieces are removed from the play and put aside (cfr. picture
step4; red's turn)
After having performed one of these moves, it’s to the
opponent to play a turn
Important:
- tiles are always placed adjacent to tiles already on the table
- combining moves in one turn is not allowed (e.g. a player
can not move a piece one tile and then jump over the opponent’s
tiles; also it is not tolerated to place a piece and then take
a jump in the same turn) (cfr. picture step3; blue's turn)
- only if jumped over an opponent’s piece, one can jump
multiple times with the same piece in one turn. a piece can
only move one tile in one turn
During the game, and as long as
there are tiles left, each player has to put all of his pieces
in play. Eliminated tiles are put aside and can be brought into
play for a second time when there are no tiles left.
If no tiles are left, the play differs slightly and the following
moves can be played:
Move 4: move existing piece
to adjacent tile of own color Move 5: move existing piece to tile of own color by jumping
solely over tiles of other color. If during this move one jumps
over a piece (or more) of the opponent, these pieces are removed
from the board and put aside Move 6: a piece which has been eliminated from the play
can be brought into the game a second time. Therefor the player
takes an existing tile somewhere from the board (Only tiles
can be taken from the play which have 3 or less adjacent tiles)
and puts the piece (on it’s side for better recognition)
on top of it. Move 7: in some cases it migth be of strategic interest
to ‘sacrifice’ a piece which hasn’t been captured
a first time. Move 6 is than repeated. The only difference is
that, instead of an already captured piece, a non elimated piece
is taken from somewhere on the board and brought into play at
another location and then put on it’s side. Each player
can do this only once throughout the whole game
After having performed one of these
moves, it’s to the opponent to play a turn.
A piece which is elimated for a second time disappears forgood
of the play and can’t be brought in a third time.
The game ends whenever a player has only one piece left.
If none of the players succeed in
eleminating enough of the opponent's pieces, it's a draw...
You can of course decide that the player with most pieces left
wins... up to you to decide :-).
